A/Prof Arun Azad

Associate Professor Arun Azad is a well-respected and accomplished medical oncologist specialising in urological cancers, with a particular focus on prostate cancer. He is based in Noble Park, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

A/Prof. Azad obtained his PhD from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and further honed his expertise in prostate cancer clinical and research practices under the mentorship of Professor Kim Chi in Vancouver. During his time in Vancouver, he led several ground-breaking research projects exploring the use of circulating tumor DNA in advanced prostate cancer.

Since 2015, A/Prof. Azad has been affiliated with Monash Health and Monash University, where he assumed the role of leading a clinical and translational research programme. In late 2018, he made the transition to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where he currently serves as a clinician-scientist. At Peter Mac, he spearheads various research ventures encompassing clinical, translational, and laboratory aspects of urological and prostate cancers.

A/Prof. Azad's contributions to the field have garnered international recognition, with numerous podium presentations at prestigious national and global conferences. His groundbreaking research has also been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, solidifying his standing in the medical community.
