Dr Anthony White

Dr Anthony White is a cardiologist and scientist specialising in interventional cardiology. He obtained his medical degree, physician and cardiology training, and interventional cardiology training from the University of Melbourne, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne, respectively. With over 20 years of experience, he has developed a strong interest in the assessment and management of myocardial infarction, angina, and coronary artery disease.

Aside from his expertise in these specific cardiac conditions, Dr White also possesses in-depth knowledge of general cardiac disorders such as cardiac failure, hypertensive heart disease, hypercholesterolemia, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease. He has earned numerous qualifications, including a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne, and a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2000.

Dr White's passion for cardiovascular research led him to pursue a PhD at The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, where he focused on studying factors associated with coronary plaque instability. Subsequently, he undertook a post-doctoral fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles from 2007-2010, where he concentrated on cardiac regeneration research. He has been awarded a prestigious National Health & Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) fellowship and grant to support his research into the effects of stem cell therapy on cardiac tissue regeneration.

Currently, Dr White serves as an interventional cardiologist at MonashHeart and holds the position of principal investigator on an NHMRC grant at Monash University. His groundbreaking research has contributed significantly to the field of medicine and has the potential to revolutionize the management of cardiac disorders.
