Dr Anthony Lawrence

Dr. Anthony Lawrence is a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with more than 30 years of experience. He graduated with a Medical Honours Degree (MBBS Honours) from Monash University in 1978 and completed his residency and specialist training at the Queen Victoria Medical Centre Melbourne. He spent over two years in the United Kingdom to advance his Obstetric and Gynaecological training before returning to Monash Medical Centre. Dr. Lawrence became a fully accredited Obstetric and Gynaecological Specialist in 1989. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the American Association of Gynaecological Laparoscopists, the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society, and the Australian Medical Association.

Dr. Lawrence has delivered over 5,000 babies and treats all aspects of high and low-risk obstetrics, placing safety for both the mother and baby as his top priority. He also has extensive experience in the management of benign gynaecological diseases, offering colposcopic assessment of abnormal Pap smears during consultation. Dr. Lawrence specialises in severe endometriosis and uses the latest advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques for the investigation and medical/surgical management of the disease. He has a long association with the Endometriosis Association of Victoria as a specialist gynaecologist.
