Dr Anand Sharma

Dr Anand Sharma is an exceptionally skilled Cardiologist specialising in all aspects of cardiology. He has expertise in performing a range of procedures including coronary angiograms, angioplasties, intra-coronary imaging (IVUS & OCT), functional studies (FFR), and device implantation including pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr Sharma also specialises in echocardiograms, stress tests, and non-invasive management of heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr Sharma obtained his medical degree in India and further trained in medicine in the UK. He completed his specialist training in Cardiology in Queensland and underwent interventional cardiology training at Westmead Hospital. He later received further training at The London University in Canada, focusing on pacemaker implantation and arrhythmia ablation at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand.

Dr Sharma joined the Cardiac Care Centre in April 2014, bringing his expertise as a General & Interventional Cardiologist and an Electrophysiologist. He provides outpatient services at Cardiac Care Centres in Wetherill Park and Hurstville, as well as inpatient services at St George Private and Sydney Southwest Private Hospitals. Dr Sharma is fluent in Hindi in addition to English.
