Port Lincoln is situated on the Lower Eyre Peninsula. It lies on the Boston Bay shore that opens eastward in the Spencer Gulf. This is the largest city in the West Coast region. It is located around 280km from Adelaide. The population of Port Lincoln as of June 2019 was 16,418. Port Lincoln has a reputation for having the largest number of millionaires per capita in the country. This city is also known as the Seafood Capital of Australia.

History of Port Lincoln The region has been the home to Aboriginal people for almost 40 thousand years now. The local government was formed on 1st July 1880; it was on 18th August 1921 when the city's Municipality was proclaimed. In the year 1936, the population of this city had grown to be 3200. Later, the port became a commercial pivot for this area. It fulfilled the different commercial and agricultural requirements of the town.
