Dr Samuel Benveniste is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in lower limb surgery, with a particular focus on hip and knee replacement utilizing robotic-assisted techniques. He has a special interest in sports knee injuries and orthopaedic trauma and fracture care. Dr Benveniste holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
With extensive local and international experience, Dr Benveniste completed a clinical fellowship at St Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where he trained in various techniques including the mini-posterior and direct anterior hip approaches. He is currently a consultant and operates at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital and is also a staff specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Benveniste has completed a Surgical Leadership Program with Harvard University and currently serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide. He also holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Australian Army Reserve in the Corps of Royal Australian Engineers, serving as the Commanding Officer of the 10th/27th Battalion, The Royal South Australia Regiment.
