Dr Ryan Spencer

After completing his medical training at University Hospital Geelong and the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Dr Spencer pursued further specialization in echocardiography at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada. He then undertook a second fellowship in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne.

Dr Spencer has extensive experience in various aspects of cardiology, with a particular focus on coronary artery disease, heart valve pathology, echocardiography, cardiac pacing, and arrhythmia. In addition to overseeing all forms of echocardiography, he also performs the implantation of a wide range of cardiac devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.

As a senior lecturer at Deakin University, Dr Spencer is actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of medical professionals. He also plays a pivotal role in running simulation programs at ReVise, the Regional Victorian Institute of Simulation Education.

Dr Spencer holds a Masters in Health Professional Education and is committed to conducting research in the field of cardiology. He has published his research findings in major international journals, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care.
