Dr. Rebekah Van Leest, hailing from rural Victoria, pursued her medical education at Monash University in Melbourne. She completed her basic physician training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Following her successful advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Western Health and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, she was proud to receive a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2016.
Dr. Rebekah Van Leest maintains a diverse range of interests in both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology. She specialises in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bowel cancer screening. Providing exceptional care to her patients and maintaining open communication with General Practitioners are her top priorities.
Dr. Van Leest has served as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in various locations, including Cairns, Albury, Launceston, Hobart, Hervey Bay, and Lismore.
Currently, she holds positions as a staff specialist at the Gold Coast University Hospital and The Tweed Hospital.
