Dr Man-Shun Wong is an accomplished General, Endocrine, and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon, who received his medical education from the University of Queensland. He underwent extensive training in general surgical procedures at the Gold Coast, where he completed a two-year fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery at the Gold Coast University Hospital. During this fellowship, he trained in a range of surgeries, including oesophageal, gastric, and bariatric procedures. Dr Wong also completed an Honorary Bariatric Fellowship at the Holy Spirit Hospital during this time. Following this, he underwent further sub-specialty training in Endocrine Surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He was one of just a handful of Australians to successfully complete the prestigious International TS Reeve Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery. Dr Wong's passion for teaching is evident in his position as Senior CCrISP instructor with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and his post of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Consequently, he has been invited to present at various International Conferences and is a published author. Dr Wong was also the recipient of the Annual Scientific Conference, Best Clinical Research Prize. Dr Wong has a particular interest in Endocrine surgery by performing a range of procedures, including Parathyroid surgery with nerve monitoring, Adrenal, Paraganglioma, and Hereditary Endocrine Neoplasia Syndromes. In addition, he specialises in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery, with procedures like Oesophageal, Gastric, Anti-Reflux, and Bariatric surgery. Dr. Wong’s expertise extends to General surgery, reinforcing his comprehensive surgical abilities.
