A/Prof Katherine Tonks

A/Prof Katherine Tonks is well-regarded in the field of Endocrinology with extensive experience in diabetes, insulin resistance, thyroid disorders, obesity and other endocrine diseases. She is the founder of Sydney Endocrinology and holds several esteemed positions including Staff Specialist of the Department of Endocrinology at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, a Clinical Research Officer of the Diabetes and Obesity Research Program at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, and a Visiting Medical Officer at North Shore Private Hospital.

A/Prof Tonks obtained her undergraduate medical degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales. After graduating, she held a junior medical officer position at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown. She specialized in Endocrinology, undertaking Advanced Endocrine Training at St. Vincent’s Hospital, St. George Hospital, and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
