Dr Julian Sack

With over 15 years of expertise in cataract and refractive surgery, Dr Julian Sack is a leading surgeon in his field, performing hundreds of cataract surgeries every year. He is also one of the few surgeons in Australia specialising in Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) surgery, a relatively new and advanced surgical technique for vision correction.

Dr Sack received his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1991. He subsequently moved to Australia and took up a Senior Fellowship position at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in 1993. Since then, he has been running a dedicated Cataract and Refractive private practice in Melbourne and regional Victoria, where he has helped countless patients achieve improved vision. Additionally, Dr Sack also currently works as a Consultant at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, where he trains Registrars.

Dr Sack's contribution to the field has been recognized by his peers, and he is appointed as the treasurer of the RANZCO (Vic) and on the Steering Committee of the Australian Society of Ophthalmology (ASO). He regularly shares his knowledge and experience by lecturing on cataract and refractive surgery to GPs, Optometrists and Pharmacists.
