Dr Brian Stein

Dr Brian Stein, an oncologist based in Kurralta Park, Adelaide, Australia, specialises in the treatment of various forms of cancer. He obtained his medical degree, MBBS (Hons), from the University of Adelaide in 1986, after which he completed his specialist training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Dr Stein further honed his skills at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.

Following his return to Australia, Dr Stein served as a consultant in the Adelaide University Department of Medicine at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He then ventured into post-graduate research at The Hanson Centre for Cancer Research. In 1998, he joined the Adelaide Cancer Centre, where he remains an active member, providing top-notch care to his patients.

Dr Stein's primary place of practice is at Adelaide Cancer Centre at Kurralta Park. He also serves as a visiting medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide. In addition, Dr Stein allocates one day per week to consultations at the Brian Fricker Oncology Centre, situated at Burnside Hospital.

Dr Stein has developed a niche within the field, with a particular interest in treating cancers of the head and neck. He also possesses extensive experience in geriatric oncology, and is actively involved in the management of lymphoma as well as other solid tumors, including breast and gastro-enterological malignancies.

Apart from his clinical commitments, Dr Stein remains dedicated to medical education. He plays an integral role in undergraduate medical education at The University of Adelaide, ensuring that the next generation of doctors are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of oncology.
