Dr Angela Rezo

Dr Angela Rezo is an experienced radiation oncologist specialising in the treatment of cancer using radiation therapy. She is currently based at the Icon Cancer Centre in Canberra, Australia. Dr Rezo obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1995. She completed her specialist training in radiation oncology at the prestigious Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Canberra Hospital. She also undertook a fellowship at the Australian National University (ANU) Medical School.

In 2005, Dr Rezo became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). Since 2004, she has been practicing in Canberra, where she is dedicated to ensuring that patients in the region have timely access to modern radiation therapy. Dr Rezo has played a key role in implementing stereotactic brain and body radiation therapy in Canberra. She has also been actively involved in the ACT & SENSW Breast Cancer Treatment Group.

Dr Rezo has a strong interest in clinical trials, research, and medical education. She has supervised numerous research projects and serves as a senior lecturer at the ANU Medical School. Additionally, she mentors specialists in-training and participates as an investigator in clinical trials.

With her extensive clinical experience, Dr Rezo has treated a wide range of solid tumor malignancies. Her special interests lie in the management of breast cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, spinal (CNS) cancer, and palliative care. She has made significant contributions to the field of radiation oncology through her involvement in various clinical studies and publications.

Dr Rezo is committed to providing the highest standards of care to her patients. She is fluent in English and Croatian, which allows her to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds.
