A/Prof Adnan Nagrial

Associate Professor Adnan Nagrial is a highly skilled Medical Oncologist, specialising in gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers. Currently, he serves as a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals, as well as holding the position of Clinical Associate Professor at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Melbourne, Adnan completed his training at Westmead and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals. In 2011, he joined The Garvan Institute of Medical Research Pancreas Cancer Research Group, where he worked for four years in a translational research laboratory focused on identifying new treatments for Pancreas Cancer. This research culminated in him earning a PhD in Translation Genomics in Pancreatic Cancer in 2016.

Adnan's main passion lies in the medical treatment of gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers, and he practices in this area at Westmead, Blacktown, and Norwest Private Hospitals. His extensive expertise as a clinical trial investigator has led him to lead an impressive 30 clinical trials of new cancer treatments.

He continues to conduct translational research at Westmead Hospital and collaborates with colleagues both nationally and internationally.
