Tonya Jones

Tonya Jones is a highly skilled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist based at Physica Ringwood, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. With a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from La Trobe University and an undergraduate degree from Monash University, Tonya possesses a solid educational foundation that informs her clinical approach. She has cultivated her expertise by working in diverse environments, from private practice to public hospitals, allowing her to treat a wide range of conditions, from acute injuries to post-operative rehabilitation. Specializing in the treatment of neck pain, thoracic and low back pain, hip and knee pain, and shoulder conditions, Tonya is deeply passionate about helping her patients regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Her specific focus on low back pain is driven by her desire to understand and alleviate the complex issues that patients may face in this area. Tonya's background in the performing arts enriches her physiotherapy practice, having previously studied Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary Dance School and performed as a professional ballet dancer. This unique perspective allows her to integrate principles of movement and body awareness, having also run her own Pilates studio in the UK for six years. Her experience includes teaching Pilates to physiotherapists with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), further deepening her knowledge in rehabilitation techniques. Outside of her professional life, Tonya is an avid runner, having completed numerous half marathons and a full marathon, which reflects her commitment to health, fitness, and well-being. Her multifaceted expertise makes her a valuable asset to the Physica Ringwood team, where she is dedicated to providing effective, patient-centered care.
