A/Prof Simon Tsao

Associate Professor Simon Tsao is an Australian trained Specialist in Breast, Endocrine, and General Surgery with extensive clinical expertise and a strong focus on delivering patient-centred care. He completed his surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred Hospital, two of Australia’s leading medical institutions. To further develop his skills, he undertook subspecialist training in breast and endocrine surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. His commitment to achieving both optimal medical outcomes and excellent cosmetic results led him to complete the internationally recognised Oncoplastic Breast and Endocrine Fellowship at St. George’s Hospital in London. A/Prof Tsao’s practice encompasses the management of both cancerous and benign breast conditions. He treats a wide range of concerns, including breast lumps, breast pain, abnormal nipple discharge, and gynaecomastia. He also provides surgical options for breast reduction and reconstruction, offering patients comprehensive care from diagnosis through to recovery. His expertise in implant-based breast reconstruction is complemented by close collaboration with plastic surgeons to perform autologous reconstruction, using the patient’s own tissue to restore natural form and function.
