Shaun Coghlan

Shaun is an osteopath who completed a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. His clinical approach focuses on manual therapy-based treatment, with a particular interest in rehabilitation and supporting long-term health outcomes through education and lifestyle changes. Shaun works with individuals to help them better understand their conditions, with a focus on prevention and sustainable health practices. In addition to private practice, Shaun is an occupational health consultant with Corporate Work Health Australia. He provides ergonomic training and workplace risk assessments across Melbourne, working with organisations to improve workplace health and safety. In 2020, he completed a Diploma in Work Health and Safety, and was formally recognised by Osteopathy Australia as an Advanced Occupational Health Osteopath (vocational), reflecting his added focus on workplace wellbeing and injury prevention. Shaun also contributes to the academic field and currently teaches in the Osteopathy program at Victoria University as a sessional lecturer. His role includes mentoring students and supporting the development of future osteopaths. Shaun consults at Principle Four Osteopathy in Melbourne’s CBD on Mondays and Wednesdays, and at The Osteopaths of Blackburn on other days. His work spans clinical practice, workplace consulting, and education, offering a broad perspective on musculoskeletal health. In his personal time, Shaun enjoys staying active through sport. He has played basketball for over 15 years, including international experience in the United States, and now coaches junior and senior teams at Blackburn Basketball Club. He also enjoys golf and follows the Collingwood Football Club.
