Ni-ia Jones

Ni’ia Jones is a dedicated physiotherapist and certified Pilates instructor based at Complete Physio Exercise and Performance. With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Otago University, Ni’ia graduated in 2007 and has since enriched her professional journey with diverse experiences across clinics in New Zealand, the UK, and Australia. Her global exposure allows her to understand various healthcare perspectives and apply best practices in physiotherapy. Ni’ia's passion for running emerged in her early twenties, leading her to specialize in running injuries. She leverages her expertise in run retraining, education on training loads, and comprehensive strength and conditioning programs to help athletes rehabilitate effectively and return to their beloved pursuit. As a running injury expert, Ni’ia is committed to employing evidence-based techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance performance. Her strong interest in exercise rehabilitation extends to various injuries and conditions. Ni’ia has expanded her skill set with specialized training in Pilates, offering both individual and group classes. She finds that Pilates is instrumental in reclaiming mobility and strength, notably beneficial during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. As a mother of two young children, she has navigated the challenges of postpartum fitness and has developed a focus on the significance of progressive strengthening for pelvic floor health and overall wellness. Whether assisting clients with lower limb injuries, back pain, or guiding pre and postnatal rehabilitation, Ni’ia adopts a collaborative approach, emphasizing education, clear communication, and empathy.
