Dr Cheah completed her medical degree at The University of Melbourne in 2006 before undergoing specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training in Victoria. As part of her advanced training, she also underwent additional training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, specialising in Fertility, Reproductive Medicine, and Minimal Invasive Surgery. In 2016, she obtained her FRANZCOG qualification, allowing her to practice as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Currently, Dr Cheah practices in both the public and private sectors. At Monash Health, she holds a senior clinical role in the Menstrual Management Clinic and serves as the DRANZCOG (Diploma of Obstetrics) training supervisor. In this role, she is responsible for the training and mentoring of registrars and medical students. Additionally, she coordinates and runs the Vic PROMPT Obstetrics emergency training program and is a member of the Practice Improvement Committee at Monash Health. Dr Cheah is also one of the Obstetrics Leads in the Women’s Healthcare Australasia Collaboration, a nationwide initiative focused on reducing severe perineal trauma. Dr Cheah has a special interest in fertility and minimally invasive surgery. She is a member of the Australasian Gynaecology Endoscopic Society and is one of the few accredited surgeons providing advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery.
