Driven by a desire to delve deeper, he pursued Podiatry at the Queensland University of Technology, earning his degree with honors in 2008. His academic excellence was recognized through the prestigious Texas Peak award, highlighting his dedication to Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Doug later expanded his qualifications by obtaining a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2010, further enriching the depth of his practice. For over 15 years, Doug has worked at the intraining running injury clinic, where he specialised in treating runners and providing injury prevention strategies. His extensive experience enables him to effectively assist patients in overcoming challenges, particularly within the realm of running. In 2023, Doug founded Doug James Physio & Podiatry, where he offers comprehensive physiotherapy services for muscle, joint, and tendon pain, along with specialised podiatry treatments, including custom orthotics and nail care. As an Athletics Australia qualified coach, Doug is also adept at crafting personalise running training plans. His passion for sport—particularly distance running, having completed multiple marathons including events in New York City and Las Vegas—provides him with firsthand understanding of athletic injuries.
